David Reinbacher has another job in the field hockey world

David Reinbacher is a name that will be heard in Montreal for many years to come, whether for the right reasons or the wrong ones.

Many fans are still frustrated by his selection when Matvei Michkov was available, and this is a story that will follow the Austrian defenseman throughout his career.

His contribution to the Tricolore will always be compared to Michkov’s success with the Philadelphia Flyers, and Reinbacher can’t help that.

All the Austrian defenseman can do is prove that the CH made the right decision.

For the Tricolore, it’s already clear that he was the best option available at No. 5, given that they see in Reinbacher a future excellent defenseman who will play a lot of important minutes for the team.

We know Reinbacher will become an NHL defenseman, but it remains to be seen what his ceiling will be.

What we didn’t know about Reinbacher, however, is that he has another job in the field hockey world.

The 18-year-old defenseman is also a scout.

So the young boy is obviously eating field hockey for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

It’s quite fascinating to know that the young man, drafted 5th overall in the last draft, will continue his work as a scout throughout the summer.

It shows just how much his life continues as it was before the draft, and how much this job means to him.

It remains to be seen how long Reinbacher will continue this job, as he is likely to join the Tricolore within the next few years.

If the Austrian is still playing in Europe this year, he’ll surely continue this second job for some time.

Reinbacher will normally become an important defenseman in the CH line-up, but if things don’t go according to plan, perhaps he’ll break into the field hockey world as a scout.

Maybe he’ll even become a scout after his NHL career.
