The Kaiden Guhle situation is concerning.
On Tuesday, we reported—based on footage obtained by our colleague Patrick Guillet—that Kaiden Guhle was not practicing with the rest of the team on the ice.
He was on the ice wearing a tracksuit, which is treatment normally reserved for injured players.

Yesterday, while Guhle didn't take to the ice with the rest of the team, our colleague Maxime Truman wrote an article expressing his concern about the defenseman's situation.
And he's right: what we're seeing isn't normal.
Inevitably, this draws attention to a situation the Canadiens could have certainly done without just a few weeks before the start of the season.
After all, when it happens to a guy like him, or like Kirby Dach, or even David Reinbacher (players prone to injuries), it's always a little more worrisome.
This morning on BPM Sports radio, Renaud Lavoie spoke about the situation.
Based on what he's been told (and he's being careful how he puts it so as not to downplay the situation), Lavoie doesn't think there's a great deal of concern on the Canadiens' side right now.
Obviously, it would be quite surprising if the Canadiens were to show any concern about the matter at this time. But it's still a positive update given the circumstances.
And that's true even though there will be ups and downs until we see him giving it his all on the ice in full gear with the rest of the team, whether before or during official training camp.
Let's also remember, as Renaud Lavoie pointed out, that Guhle didn't finish the playoffs in good health.
Was the defenseman able to train at full capacity this summer? Naturally, that's an important question I'm asking myself this morning.
Overtime
Of course, as was pointed out on the morning show on BPM Sports, we must keep in mind that defensive depth is more important than ever in Montreal.
That's another good reason not to drag out the Arber Xhekaj situation (which continues to be the talk of the town), I imagine.
