Great news tonight.
A few months ago, we learned that Brendan Gallagher and his wife, Emma Fortin, were expecting their second child.
And just moments ago, the couple announced that their second child has been born. They made the announcement via an Instagram post.
For the second time, a little girl has joined the family. Following Everly in the winter of 2025, little Ella has been born.
Here's the photo that was shared on social media:

It's safe to say that with Gallagher continuing his career in Vancouver, that's one less source of stress for the family. He'll be able to enjoy some time with little Ella before reporting to the Canucks' training camp for the upcoming season.
That will help him be in the best possible frame of mind to prepare for the 2026–27 season.
Remember that in 2025, Everly was born while the Habs were in the thick of a playoff race and shortly before Gallagher's mother passed away following her battle with brain cancer. It was a series of deeply emotional events for Gally, who nevertheless didn't miss a single game throughout it all.
We obviously wish the best to the little family—who will always be loved in Montreal, given everything Gallagher has done for the Habs—as they embark on their new adventure in Vancouver.
In a nutshell
– Hehe.
Alex Vlasic accidentally broke the news to Louis Crevier—who was having trouble getting cell service in Italy—that he was heading to the Sabres.
“I texted him, ‘Dude, I'm so sad.' He was like, ‘Oh, why? Did somebody on the team get traded?'”
