In 2026–27, Noah Dobson will begin his second season with the Canadiens. The defenseman had a solid season last year, recording 12 goals and 47 points in 80 games in a role where he didn't get a lot of power-play time.
He logged plenty of 5-on-5 minutes on the team's top defensive pairing and played some very good hockey.
His season ended on a sour note, as he went down with an injury late in the regular season and didn't look 100% when he returned for the playoffs. But clearly, his hand no longer seems to be an issue at all.
In a story shared by his wife on Instagram, the defenseman took advantage of a very impressive training machine to take shots on goal outdoors. He has a really cool setup that lets him practice while enjoying the summer.
See for yourself: it's pretty impressive.

It's not clear exactly where these images were taken, but there's reason to believe it's somewhere in Massachusetts. The defenseman's wife (along with their baby) is currently there, and we know she has lived in the Boston area in recent years.
So there's reason to believe the couple still has a home in Massachusetts and that this is where the machine is set up.
It's also worth noting that three years ago, a video shared on the defender's Instagram account appears to show the various stages of building the machine in question. That's impressive, too.

It's pretty cool to see that Dobson has access to all of this in his backyard, and it really gives him a high-quality setup for practicing his shots outdoors during the summer.
And seeing that he doesn't seem to be bothered by his hand at all when taking shots is also great news for Habs fans hoping to see him have a big season.
In a Nutshell
– Note:
Philippe Eullaffroy just told us that Alexis Sanchez will NOT be in the starting lineup against the Galaxy on Saturday.
He should, however, play more than he did yesterday in Columbus.

– The worst has been avoided.
Jalen Neal felt some pain and stiffness after falling on his back yesterday in Columbus, but he told me he's 100% today.
He says he's ready to play 90 minutes on Saturday against his former team. pic.twitter.com/LV3l5dVprl
