This summer, Kent Hughes didn't do much to improve his team.

He made a few minor trades here and there, but nothing major. One of those minor trades involved William Trudeau.

The Quebec native was traded for Brett Berard, a forward who just signed a contract with the team.

In an interview with TVA Sports, Trudeau said that New York is probably a better opportunity for him than Montreal.

He gave it his all for the Habs and would have liked it to work out.

He talked about the city with his former teammate Alex Belzile. Belzile had nothing but good things to say about the place, which made Trudeau's adjustment and transition easier.

We wish him the best of luck, in any case.

Another member of the organization heading to the Big Apple is Joe Veleno. He was signed by the New York Rangers on July 1. He'll earn $1.2 million over the course of a year there.

Today, he said goodbye to the Habs on Instagram.

He received several comments from his former teammates.

Cole Caufield, Jakub Dobes, Noah Dobson, and Arber Xhekaj, among others, wished the Quebec native good luck.

In a nutshell

– Stay tuned.

– Too bad.

– Impressive.
