Where will Patrik Laine play in 2026–27? That question remains unanswered at this time.

The Finnish player, who appeared in only five games last season, is looking for a contract. He is free to sign at any time, but he hasn't done so yet.

In the meantime, however, Laine is making sure to stay in shape. He was recently seen participating in a summer league in Florida about ten days ago, and his Florida stint apparently isn't over yet.

A video circulating on social media shows the Finnish player continuing to train in Florida. He is joined by Panthers players (including Aaron Ekblad) as well as Alexey Toropchenko of the Blues.

And it's worth noting that Laine is still wearing his Canadiens gear for the occasion.

It's interesting to note that Laine has seemed to be spending a lot of time in Florida for a while now. We know there are already quite a few Finns in town and that he's good friends with Aleksander Barkov, which makes one wonder if there's a fit with the Panthers.

Will his former coach in Winnipeg, Paul Maurice, want him in a power-play specialist role? We'll see.

But in the meantime, Laine continues to practice while wearing the Canadiens' colors. That's likely to change once he signs his next contract, but for now, he hasn't been in a hurry to get rid of his Canadiens gear.

We know he really enjoyed his time in the city—that's clear proof of it.
