As we all know, tickets to see a Montreal Canadiens game are generally very expensive, a fact that is often heavily criticized by analysts and fans.

It's expensive enough that you don't even get a great seat in the arena, and let's just say that prices are far from likely to drop this season, given the team's success last season and the excitement surrounding its young players.

On the contrary, a certain price increase is expected given the overall spectacle the Habs now offer with all their talented and spectacular players.

In fact, with the recent release of the CH's schedule, tickets for the Canadiens' games are already on sale, which gives us an early idea of the prices.

And when analyzing the prices for a few games, we come across one date with completely exorbitant prices: the December 26th game, when the Toronto Maple Leafs will be in town.

HFTV spotted this anomaly while analyzing ticket prices for the Habs' various home games at the Bell Centre for the 2026–2027 season.

To give you an idea, between October 6 and December 26—that is, between the Habs' home opener and the famous holiday game against the Leafs—the cheapest tickets, those in the $300 range, cost between $100 and $250.

And the ones around $250 are for the season opener against the Carolina Hurricanes on October 6.

In short, it's already pretty expensive, but it gets completely ridiculous for the December 26 game on TicketMaster, where the cheapest tickets are around $350.

And in the red sections—that is, Section 100—you can't find anything under $620, whereas for all other games in general, tickets under $500 can easily be found.

In short, there's clearly a huge markup on this game—even though it's a Saturday game against division rivals, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and, most importantly, it's a game right after Christmas.

Fans will want to buy tickets to this game as a Christmas gift, which clearly drives up the prices.

Despite all the reasons making this game more expensive, the prices remain completely ridiculous at the moment—it feels like a playoff game.
