Evander Kane Sparks Another Storm on X

You know it's summer when big names in hockey get lost on Twitter.

When people in Quebec think of Platform X these past few weeks, Dan Milstein comes to mind. Kirill Marchenko's agent is trying to get his way on social media.

Once again last night, he responded to a post about the Blue Jackets and the Canadiens, saying he can't deal with everyone at once.

But the prize for the most controversial moment goes to Evander Kane.

Kane, who usually keeps a low profile until he decides he's bored on social media, chose to weigh in on the situation involving Dr. Anthony Fauci in the United States.

As a reminder, Fauci recently testified before a U.S. Senate committee regarding his role during the pandemic.

And basically, Evander Kane felt the need—as a free agent who can't seem to land a contract—to go against the grain by criticizing the doctor's decisions.

He also criticized the media for refusing to give everyone a voice on the issue.

In response, two hockey journalists weighed in. Jimmy Murphy drew a connection between the fact that Kane is overrated and his political views.

But the biggest reaction came from Mark Spector. He retweeted Kane's post, calling out his selfishness.

Then, in the middle of the night, the player responded by saying that Spector's opinion was idiotic. He added, in particular, that he was going to stop there so as not to make him cry, as has happened in the past following a discussion between the two men.

Clearly, this feud has been brewing for a long time. And since we know that politics has always divided people and always will, it leads to scenes like this.

It's a shame for everyone. After all, nobody wins.
