Even though he’ll never play field hockey again, Carey Price is still a beloved guy in town. Injuries ended his career sooner than expected, but fans still recognize the enormous contribution he made to the organization during his time in Montreal.
That said, even though he’s still under contract with the Habs, Price and his family have moved to British Columbia as his playing career is over. We knewhe’d be back in Quebec for training camp, and that he’d be there sporadically afterwards, but nothing more.
But it seems he’s back in town a little sooner than expected, as the goalie is currently in Montreal as part of the Canadiens’ field hockey school.

We know Price was an Under Armour brand ambassador during his playing career, so it’s not necessarily surprising to see him at the CH Hockey School considering it’s sponsored by the same company.
He may be there for contractual reasons, but in any case, it’s great to see him showing off for the youngsters.
Because, as I was saying, Price is still very, very much loved. Just look at the reaction of the youngsters when Price came to surprise them: it’s great to see how much they love him.

Without a doubt, Price’s presence made the day for the youngsters, who also had the chance to spend time with Juraj SlafkovskĆ½ yesterday. For the Canadiens’ young fans, these are two encounters that are sure to leave a lasting impression.
And in the end, that’s the most important thing: if it can inspire the youngsters, it’s a success all round, we agree.
