We’re talking about more than 36,000 tickets sold in six hours by the Quebec City team. 18,259 spectators will attend each of the first two games of the final. This is the maximum capacity of the Centre Vidéotron.
This will indeed be a QMJHL record. The previous record for largest attendance dates back to the last series between Gatineau and Quebec City. 17,911 spectators turned out at the Centre Vidéotron on April 30 for the second game of the series.
Mikaël Lalancette of Le Soleil spoke with Nicole Bouchard, the Remparts’ Director of Team Services and Media Relations.

According to her, the Remparts have taken over all the news in Quebec City. It’s all anyone’s talking about. She never thought so many people would buy tickets.
Québec swept the Gatineau Olympiques in the playoff semi-finals. The first two games of the final series will take place on May 12 and 13.
The Remparts still don’t know the identity of their next opponent. The other semi-final series is still underway between the Halifax Mooseheads and the Sherbrooke Phoenix. The two teams are locked in a fierce duel, with the series tied 2-2.
