Series highlights: Golden Knights win Game 3 with ease

There was only one game on the schedule last night in the National Hockey League, as the Edmonton Oilers took on the Vegas Golden Knights.

It was game number 3 in the series, so it’s considered a pivotal game in a series, especially since the series we’re interested in was tied 1-1.

Here’s what we saw during Game 3.

1. Golden Knights dominate Oilers to take series lead

After the Oilers’ easy win in Game 2, we expected them to keep up the momentum, especially as the series moved to Edmonton for Games 3 and 4.

However, just the opposite happened, as it was the Golden Knights’ turn to be just as dominant in a 5-1 victory.

After seeing Edmonton take a 1-0 lead, Vegas opened the machine and never looked back.

And this despite having lost the services of their starting goalkeeper, Laurent Brossoit, who appeared to have suffered a significant injury.

Adin Hill came on in place of Brossoit, and he did very well, turning aside 22 of the Oilers’ 22 shots.

Trailing 1-0, Jonathan Marchessault picked the perfect moment to score his first two playoff goals.

The Knights went into the locker room ahead 2-1 after one period, and never looked back.

Jack Eichel added a goal and two assists to reach the 10-point plateau in his playoff career after just eight games.

Only five active players have collected their first 10 points in fewer games than Eichel.

The Oilers seemed to be off their game compared to the second game of the series.

Vegas managed to blank Connor McDavid and especially Leon Draisaitl.

Hats off to Adin Hill, who was perfect in his career playoff debut, replacing Laurent Brossoit.

Anything to really frustrate Oilers fans.

In short, it was a big win for the Golden Knights, who now take a 2-1 series lead.
