Series highlights: Stars eliminate Kraken in final match
Last night saw the final match in the Stars-Kraken series.

The winner faced the Vegas Golden Knights in the Western Association Finals.

This series was all about offense, but in the final game, finally won by the Stars by a score of 2-1, it was a little tighter.

After one period, the score was still 0-0.

In the second period, the Stars opened the scoring. Roope Hintz took advantage of a Jamie Oleksiak error to give his team the lead.

It was already his ninth goal of the playoffs.

Shortly before the goal, Seattle goaltender Philip Grubauer made a great save with his mitten to rob Tyler Seguin of a sure goal.

In the third period, Wyatt Johnston scored his fourth goal of the series and gave his team a two-goal lead.

Evgenii Dadonov picked up an assist on the play. By the way, the CH alum went from a bottom team to a top-4 NHL team. Poor Denis Gurianov…

The Kraken scored with less than 20 seconds left in the game, but it was too little too late.

The Stars now face Vegas in the third round for the second time in four seasons. In 2020, Dallas eliminated the Knights.

The series kicks off on Friday at T-Mobile Arena.
