Not to throw another log onto the fire for #Flames, but the potential exodus continues.
I’m told Tyler Toffoli also plans on not re-signing in Calgary.

Nothing is working in Calgary right now. The Flames will have difficulty extending the contracts of several players, due to the large contracts awarded to Jonathan Huberdeau and MacKenzie Weegar, for example. They won’t have to worry about that, though, because most of the players now want to leave the team.
Toffoli’s contract expires at the end of next season. The Flames need to trade him very quickly or he’ll become an uncompensated free agent and go home free as a bird.
Calgary seems to have gotten the message, because Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported on Thursday that the team would try to trade Toffoli.
There is word this afternoon that Calgary has made Tyler Toffoli available for trade

Fortunately for the Flames, Toffoli’s current market value is incredible. There’s only one year left on his contract, which pays only $4.25 million annually. That’s a lot of money, but it’s a bargain when you’re talking about a player who came close to a point per game last season.
Indeed, while the Flames’ star players went into hiding, Toffoli gave it his all, finishing the campaign as the team’s leading scorer with 73 points, including 34 goals, in 82 games.
The Flames currently have $1.25 million available under the salary cap, according to CapFriendly. Freeing up Toffoli’s contract will benefit them, as they still need to sign five depth players who become uncompensated free agents this summer.
It’s already total chaos in Calgary, as several other players have made it clear they don’t want to be back with the Alberta outfit.
And they’ll all be eligible for full autonomy at the same time → https://t.co/lmx87mEmah

These include Elias Lindholm, Mikael Backlund and Noah Hanifin. They’re all impact players, and Tyler Toffoli is one too.
