Yesterday marked the “Zee's Final Shift” event—Zdeno Chara's hockey farewell game—as the 49-year-old star defenseman laced up his skates in front of the cameras one last time in front of his fans in Slovakia.

For the occasion, several of Zdeno Chara's friends and former teammates were on hand to play and watch.

Marian Hossa, Raymond Bourque, Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak, and Brad Marchand (who did not play due to injury), among others, were all there to play and pay tribute to their former teammate one last time.

The game went really well, with a great crowd out to support Chara, and he even took the time to show off his classic slap shot.

He clocked in at 108.8 MPH—175 km per hour—which is truly impressive for a 49-year-old.

After the game, the guys celebrated again, and we got to see a few moments from the locker room via David Pastrnak's Instagram Stories.

The Boston Bruins forward even joked with his former teammate Patrice Bergeron, asking him if he'd play another season in the NHL.

It's a funny moment between the two players—even though Patrice Bergeron is obviously retired—but it's clear that the Quebec native could still bring his A-game to the ice.

Pastrnak clearly misses Bergeron, as he hasn't really had a true No. 1 center by his side since No. 37 retired a few seasons ago.

The Boston Bruins are still a good team, though, thanks mainly to Pastrnak.
