La Poche Bleue: Raphaël Doucet announces his departure

For the past year and a half, Raphaël Doucet has been working for La Poche Bleue. After several years at 91.9 Sports, the journalist accepted a new professional challenge.

But that chapter of his career is now behind him.

As he has just announced publicly, he is no longer employed by La Poche Bleue for the foreseeable future. He has decided to step down.

Originally, his mandate was to be the editor-in-chief of the website, to go into the field, to participate in Stéphane Gonzalez’s show (La Poche Bleue le midi) and to collaborate on the La Poche Bleue podcast.

That said, the more time passed, the more the mandate changed. The lunchtime show no longer existed, and on the site, Doucet was increasingly alone in writing. This gave him greater freedom with his pen.

It should be noted, however, that the change in Doucet’s role should not be attributed to his departure. He didn’t leave his job simply to leave his job.

In this respect, it is difficult to determine Doucet’s next destination. But from what we’ve been able to learn, he’s joining the QMJHL. It remains to be seen in what role.

One wonders, at this point, what all this means for the La Poche Bleue site. Will a new writer betaking over the reins at LPB?

Will the new owners of La Poche Bleue, a company that was recently sold, want to keep the site active? That also remains to be seen in the coming weeks.

Remember that in recent days, the journalist, who has a 20-year career in the business, could be heard on 98.5 FM.

On a personal note, I’d like to wish Raphaël Doucet the best of luck in his new role. He’s always been good to me, helping me out when he was at 91.9.
