The playoffs continued last night in the NHL, and four teams could push their opponents to the brink. The team led 4-1, but midway through the period, Auston Matthews scored his second of the playoffs and cut the deficit to one goal.

And in the very first minutes of the overtime period, Alexander Kerfoot brought euphoria to the Toronto camp.

The Leafs are one game away from a second-round appearance for the first time since 2004. Sheldon Keefe’s troupe just completed a three-goal comeback against Tampa Bay to take a 3-1 series lead. Toronto really can’t escape this series, you might say…

Devils tie series against RangersAfter Game Two, when the Devils decided to go with Akira Schmid in net for Game Three against the Rangers, many said it was the end of the road for New Jersey and that New York would sweep the series.

However, New Jersey won game three and yesterday won game four at Madison Square Garden, so the series is tied 2-2 and the visitors have won the first four meetings in this series. Yesterday, Jack Hughes scored the first goal of the game in spectacular fashion.

After watching the Blue Shirts create a tie, Jonas Siegenthaler gave his team the lead midway through the third period.

New Jersey completed the scoring in an empty net to tie the series. The two teams will meet again on Thursday at the Prudential Center.

TheGolden Knights had a chance to hurt theJetsby winning both games in Winnipeg. And last night, with a 4-2 victory, that’s exactly what they did. Vegas now leads the series 3-1 and will have the chance to finish it off at home. The game got off to a great start for Winnipeg, however, scoring early on.

But the Knights scored three unanswered goals and didn’t look back after that.

Not only will the Jets now face elimination for the next three games of the series, but in yesterday’s loss they lost the services of Mark Scheifele. Bruce Cassidy’s troupe could end this series on Thursday night, as early as 10pm.

Kraken levels series with overtime winIt’s a season of firsts in Seattle: first playoff appearance, first home game in the playoffs… Yesterday, for the first time in the franchise, the team tasted elimination overtime. And they won to tie the series at two.

Jorban Eberle was the hero of the game.

Mikko Rantanen had tied the game late in the second period.

The series therefore returns to Denver where game five will be presented. This game will be presented on Wednesday, 9:30pm.
