Marc-André Fleury: a perfect athlete, according to Max Talbot

Earlier today, Marc-André Fleury signed a professional tryout contract with his first NHL team, the Pittsburgh Penguins. The club may not be where it once was with Fleury in its ranks, but a final run around the track where it all began, not even Hollywood could have written such a scenario. Today, on the heels of this major surprise, his former teammate and good friend Max Talbot discussed the news. Max describes the Québécois as the ultimate athlete, the perfect athlete.

The masked man is a former first overall pick of the 2003 auction and not only has he won three Stanley Cups and maintained impressive stats with the Pens, Blackhawks, Golden Knights and most recently, the Wild, he is above all a phenomenal human being.

He's smiling, energetic, loves to laugh and make pranks, but knows when to be serious. Talbot is pretty well placed to describe Flower: they practice together in the summer, and

I'm hard-pressed to see another guy with a reputation like that.

The former forward believes he can be compared to all the great goaltenders in hockey history, but on the human side, he's the greatest, that's for sure. His first game with the Penguins (since 2017) and possibly his last will be on September 27 at home, the team's first preparatory game in Pittsburgh. A great game ahead.
