A first goal for Arber Xhekaj with the Rocket

In a game like yesterday’s against the Wild, let’s just say Montreal would have loved to have a guy like Arber Xhekaj in its lineup.

Yes, the team got shuffled.

Despite his stay in Laval, the organization and his teammates haven’t given up on him, far from it.

In fact, like his friends in Montreal, he was in action tonight. The Rocket took on the Penguins.

The defenseman scored his first goal with the Rocket. It was his third goal of the game, and second on the power play.

In seven games in Laval (the seventh is still in progress), the left-hander has collected one goal and three assists.

Not bad!

Extended

Unlike Montreal’s power play, Jean-François Houle’s team’s is operating at full throttle.

After two periods, the team had three goals under similar circumstances. Brandon Gignac imitated Xhekaj moments after the defenseman’s goal.
