It's a pretty busy day in New York today.
Two Yankees games, concerts by Noah Kahan, Bon Jovi, and Ariana Grande, and most importantly, the World Cup final between Lionel Messi's Argentina and Spain.
Imagine a day like that in Montreal…
Poor Montreal—it would have been forced to cancel all events during the World Cup. https://t.co/xVaxsHep9s

At the biggest game of the year across all sports, we spotted several NHL players: Trevor Zegras, Alex Ovechkin, and Cole Caufield.
Caufield was there with Zegras. The two friends had front-row seats to watch Spain's 1-0 victory.

The Spanish, after dominating throughout the match, won thanks to this goal in the first period of extra time.
The Argentines had been playing a man down (10 vs. 11) since the end of the second half and didn't attempt a shot until the 111th minute.
The real final was yesterday. #10 goals

So Caufield is making the most of his summer.
I hope Zegras paid for the tickets—he just signed a $36.5 million contract for the next four years.
Ovechkin, incidentally, has also signed a contract worth around $9 million in recent days.
The Canadiens' protégé will earn $26.89 million over the next four years—nearly $10 million less than his friend.
Now that the World Cup is over, we can turn our attention to the end of the MLB season and the start of training camps in the NFL and, eventually, the NHL.
In a Nutshell
– #Jets. #Giants.
Lack of offensive production on a Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium? They've hit my area of expertise.

– A pathetic halftime show, indeed.
Jay Scott's show was better, according to @MaximeTruman

– Connor Hellebuyck: The Sabres really went all out in the draft.
Helene St. James: Regarding Dylan Larkin's trade request/Red Wings: They want a center back; that's what they need; and even before this, they were looking for a scoring winger – Jason Gregor Show (7/14)
