The Montreal Canadiens’ fans are currently completely thrilled at the idea of soon seeing Ivan Demidov play with their favorite team.

The Russian sensation has just received good news when he least expected it.

In an interview with Marco D’Amico from RG Media, Demidov had to suddenly leave to discuss something with the Canadiens, at which point he learned he would be joining the Habs.

D’Amico discussed this story during his appearance on BPM Sports on Tuesday.

Demidov didn’t directly tell D’Amico that he would be joining the Canadiens, but when he returned to the interview, he started saying that he would be playing regular-season games with the Canadiens this season, without necessarily discussing the playoffs.

This put D’Amico on high alert, who did an excellent job of deduction to understand that Montreal had just brought back its top prospect.

What’s also interesting in D’Amico’s words is that Demidov already knows what he can bring to the Habs, he might not be a player with a huge impact at his NHL debut, but he can bring a real offensive touch to the Habs.

D’Amico has done an excellent job during this uncertain period surrounding Demidov.

During the last few days, reports indicated that the Canadiens’ prospect would stay in Russia until the end of his contract, and the Habs would have to be patient.

However, D’Amico continued talking to Demidov, and this is what allowed us to know a little in advance that he would be joining the Habs.

During his interview with D’Amico, Demidov also discussed the fact that he constantly follows the Canadiens’ games and the team’s highlights.

He even has some admiration for Lane Hutson, let’s say this duo should be devastating in the years to come.

Overtime

– He’s as enthusiastic as many Canadiens fans.

– A sad piece of news for the Jets’ prospect.

– An interesting scenario to follow.

– This is funny!
