As we saw in game number one, Vegas doesn’t give up so easily. Mark Stone took advantage of a 5-on-3 power play to score the Knights’ first goal.

As you can see from the sequence, Jake Oettinger was very surprised by the poor rebound in front of his net. Stone’s luck ran out, as he only just managed to tap the puck into the net.
The Stars decided to take control of the game in the second period. Jason Robertson took advantage of a power play to score Dallas’ second goal. The return throw was bouncy, but he caught it in flight to beat Aidin Hill.
The goal was Robertson’s second in the series against the Golden Knights. It must have felt good, given that he hadn’t found the back of the net throughout the series against the Seattle Kraken.
The Stars limited the Golden Knights’ shots again in the third period, but it wasn’t enough.

Unfortunately for Dallas, the Golden Knights do very well in overtime. It helps when it’s in front of such a lively crowd. Chandler Stephenson scores the winning goal in overtime, and the crowd in Vegas explodes with joy.
