Your daily dose of hockey
Jonathan Marchessault visited sick children in Quebec City with the Stanley Cup
Winning the Stanley Cup is a momentous occasion for any field hockey player. The celebrations with the team in the days that follow must be pretty wild.

Especially when you’re playing in Vegas…

But having your own day has to be something too. After all, bringing the Stanley Cup to your neck of the woods must be a pretty memorable experience for everyone.

This morning, Jonathan Marchessault took full advantage of his moment with the Stanley Cup.

While in Quebec City, he started his day by going to the hospital. He brought the Stanley Cup to see sick children, which clearly pleased a lot of people.

And when I say the Stanley Cup, I also mean the Conn Smythe.

As you can see, the Remparts are involved in the day. The former Quebec City junior player is clearly helped by his former QMJHL organization.

Simon Gagné was on hand with the Memorial Cup and the Gilles-Courteau Trophy.

To see so many big, important trophies gathered in Quebec City today shows just how good a product the province’s capital offers.

But Gary Bettman prefers to keep the Coyotes on the artificial respirator- ah pis laissez faire.

Marchessault, whose efforts in recent years have been rewarded, also took to the streets of Quebec City with his family and trophies. It was a great moment for the fans.

And clearly, for the player too.

It’s a cliché to talk about a guy who’s worked hard every step of the way to get where he is today, but that’s what makes it such a great story.

And he deserves to celebrate it however he sees fit.

In short

– Good choices.

– Another good youngster in Cincinnati?

– What’s next for the Hawks legends?
