lymphoma. Despite this
major ordeal, he completed his chemotherapy treatments and managed to return to football.

His return to the field allowed him to relaunch his career. In 2024, the Alouettes took a chance on him by selecting him 29th overall in the Canadian Football League (CFL) draft.

Since arriving in Montreal, Hamlin has spent just under three seasons with the organization. During the current season, he has appeared in eight games, recording two defensive tackles and six more on special teams.
