Mike Commodore doesn't like Mike Babcock.

He really doesn't.

He's been speaking ill of him for a long time, and the former NHL defenseman has criticized (time and again) the Oilers' decision in recent weeks. He even said that the Edmonton organization sent him a threatening email telling him to tone it down a bit…

But clearly, Commodore couldn't care less.

Because this afternoon, he suggested that parents of the young players attending the Oilers' development camp keep a close eye on their kids. And this statement is pretty… intense:

“Don't leave your kids alone with him (Babcock).” – Mike Commodore
Yeah…

Again, I'll say it: Mike Commodore is no fan of Mike Babcock.

But to go as far as he did today on X—that might be taking it a bit too far, too. The Oilers made the decision to hire Babcock after doing their due diligence, and the league investigated what happened in Columbus as well.

At some point, you have to come back to reality…

Because Mike Commodore isn't gaining anything by doing all this, either. Just because he's bashing Babcock on X doesn't mean it's going to change anything, and it's not like the Oilers are going to fire their coach just because he doesn't like him.

Oh well.

If Commodore enjoys what he's doing, good for him, I guess.

In a nutshell

– That's a good one.
