Quebec native Maxime Comtois did not have a very successful stint in the NHL. He was one of many Quebec players from the QMJHL drafted by the Ducks.

In 211 games with Anaheim and Carolina, he tallied 87 points. After seven years in North America, he moved to the KHL.

And let's just say he isn't making any friends there. A teammate confessed to an official that few of his teammates like him.

I give credit to Tout sur le hockey for this great find, by the way.

Comtois isn't a bad hockey player in the KHL. This season, he's racked up 34 points in 54 games. And last year, he finished with 50 points in 62 games. But Comtois is a fiery player who trash-talks a lot and can test the officials' patience to the limit.

And that of his teammates and coaches, apparently. The teammate in question begged the official not to change his officiating style because of the Quebec native.

In the video, you can see the coach and the official talking in Russian. Comtois didn't understand a word, but his coach said that his player was frustrating him as well.

Maybe that's one of the reasons he's no longer in the NHL… Besides being an average forward, he wasn't exactly a model teammate.

In any case, this wasn't a video that would please him or his agent…

In a nutshell

– A sixth in such circumstances…

– Great atmosphere.

– Too bad.
