Before I begin, I'd personally like to wish you a happy and healthy 2026!

That said, did you listen to the Bye Bye last night? I particularly liked it. The sketches were comical and I thought it was really original.

But there was one sequence in particular that really made me laugh… and that was when we made fun of the sports media in Quebec.

Basically, several of the province's sports personalities were put through the wringer. José Théodore (for his English accent) and Jean-Charles Lajoie (for his style) were targeted, as was Louis Morissette and his podcast (Entre la poire et son fromage).

But what made me burst out laughing was seeing Georges Laraque impersonated by Patrick Emmanuel Abellard and Stéphane Gonzalez played by Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais. It really makes for a funny moment:

The Quebec sports media segment didn't please everyone (Maxim Lapierre criticized the Bye Bye on X before deleting his post last night) and that's normal.

After all, everyone has different tastes.

But it's fair game nonetheless. Georges Laraque seems to have found it really funny too, and Anthony Marcotte is right when he says that BPM Sports got attention for the right reasons:

I also particularly liked the part where they explain that you need subscriptions to TVA Sports for Saturday night games, to “RBS” for weekday games (except Monday's, which are broadcast on Prime) and that you can also see game replays on Prise 2.

Hehe. Because it's true that it's starting to get a little complicated with all the subscriptions it takes to watch all the Habs games…

Overtime

– Too strong, this club.

– Win or lose for the Habs tonight?

– Happy New Year!

– Oh.
