1. A 1000th point for Nathan MacKinnon

In Colorado, the Blackhawks were visiting.

Nathan MacKinnon was just one point away from the 1000-point plateau.

In the first period, he thought he had reached that plateau, but the goal was disallowed.

Colorado goal!

Scored by Martin Necas with 12:29 remaining in the 1st period.

Assisted by Nathan MacKinnon and Artturi Lehkonen.

Colorado: 1
Chicago: 0

However, it was just a postponement as he collected an assist on Artturi Lehkonen’s winning goal in the third period.

He became the 100th player in history to collect 1000 points.

MacKinnon added another point in the win and now has 1001 points.

Aside from MacKinnon, his goalie Scott Wedgewood was also brilliant. A shutout with 20 saves for him. He even made two spectacular saves:

Final score: 3-0.

The Avalanche have won six consecutive games.

2. A Superman punch from Simon Benoît

Late in the evening, the Leafs made their first visit to Utah.

Toronto was leading 3-0 and seemed headed for an easy win, but the Utah team didn’t give up. They came back and tied the game 3-3.

IT WAS 3-0 FOR TORONTO…

IT IS NOW 3-3 🤯

A little earlier in the game, Michael Kesserling and Simon Benoit dropped the gloves.

Kesserling won, despite Benoit’s Superman punch at the beginning of the fight.

Let’s remember that Jesperi Kotkaniemi did a similar gesture to Dylan Cozens a few days ago.

It’s become a trend…

The Leafs were in a tough spot, but still managed to win the game 4-3 in a shootout. What a goal by Mitch Marner in the shootout to give the Leafs the win.

3. No three-point game in Ottawa

In Ottawa, the only outcome we didn’t want to see was a game that would go to overtime.

The Senators eventually won 2-1 in regulation time. But it was close that this game went to overtime…

But Dylan Cozens chose a good time to score his first goal with the Senators.

DYLAN COZENS! Cozens’ first goal with the Senators is a huge one, giving Ottawa the late lead!

Ottawa is now at the top of the teams that were drafted.

4. The Sabres surprise the Oilers

In Buffalo, Jeff Skinner was back.

He received a nice tribute on the big screen.

He didn’t collect any points in his team’s 3-2 loss.

Leon Draisaitl, on the other hand, collected two points. He has now extended his point streak to 15 games, a personal record.
