Top-3: William Nylander leads Leafs’ comeback at home in Sweden
There were only three games on the program yesterday in the National Hockey League.

Here are the highlights of those three games.

1. William Nylander extends his point streak to 16 games

William Nylander is having quite a season so far in Toronto.

He’s probably the Leafs’ best player along with Auston Matthews this season.

In fact, before yesterday’s game, Nylander was on a 15-game point streak to start the season.

And Nylander was clearly not going to stop that streak as he played yesterday at home in Sweden in front of several family members and friends.

Even better, the Swedish forward orchestrated the Leafs’ comeback with a goal and two assists in a 3-2 win.

It was the first time his grandmother had attended one of his NHL games.

A beautiful moment, then.

In short, Nylander has extended his streak of games with at least one point to 16 since the start of the season, and he doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.

He has 25 points, including 11 goals, in 16 games.

Let’s just say he’s really working on getting a huge contract at the end of the season, when he’ll be a free agent.

Let’s see if the Leafs will go all out to keep the 27-year-old forward.

2. Anthony Stolarz wins against his former team

The story of the relatively quiet game between the Florida Panthers and the Anaheim Ducks was Anthony Stolarz’s performance in goal for the Panthers against his former team.

The 29-year-old goalie spent four seasons with the Ducks, and now he’s snatched two big points from them by defending the Panthers’ cage.

He turned aside 34 of 35 shots in a 2-1 Panthers victory.

In defeat, Frank Vatrano continued his excellent start to the season by already scoring his 12ᵉ goal of the season.

That’s 17 points in 17 games.

3. Cole Perfetti continues his excellent start to the season in a Jets victory

The Jets are off to a very good start so far this season, with the entire team performing well.

Several players are standing out, including Cole Perfetti.

The 21-year-old is enjoying his breakout season, with 14 points in 16 games.

He scored his 6ᵉ goal of the season last night in the Winnipeg Jets’ 3-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres.

In short, the 10ᵉ overall pick of the 2020 auction is off to a great start this season.
