Cole Caufield played golf with Adam Fantilli and actor Jeff Daniels

Cole Caufield seems to have had a great summer. Why? Because the Canadiens’ small forward is recovering well from shoulder surgery, because he signed a long eight-year contract, and because he’s been enjoying life.

He’s often been seen on golf courses (Trevor Zegras seemed to spend part of his summer with the CH player) or even in the South, with his good friend Nick Suzuki.

But now he has two new, well-known golfing partners: Adam Fantilli and Jeff Daniels.

Fantilli is, of course, the third overall pick in the last auction (Blue Jackets) and Jeff Daniels is an actor best known for his role in Dumb and Dumber alongside Jim Carrey.

Am I the only one struck by the fact that Fantilli is tall?

I don’t know if this is the first time the three have golfed together, but it’s the first time such a photo has been shared. Note that it was Fantilli who published the photo.

Obviously, playing golf with such a big name in the U.S. must be pretty interesting for Caufield and Fantilli, who no doubt had a few questions for the main man.

And rightly so.

This isn’t the first time a big name in the USA has taken notice of Caufield. We know that J.J. Watt, a great player in recent years in the NFL, has never hesitated to praise the young man.

The two men hail from the same neck of the woods, and the veteran is clearly inspired by what the Canadien can do when in possession of the disc on the ice.

And he’s not the only one.

In the coming weeks, Caufield will also be making a name for himself on the golf course, as the Habs golf tournament is fast approaching.

In a gust

– The Hawks were strong.

– Oh.

– Hard to beat, indeed.

– Joshua Roy, a name to watch.

– Jeff Petry: could the CH have done better?
