CH field hockey school: Juraj Slafkovsky is a coach
In 2014, Juraj Slafkovsky, just 10 years old at the time, wore a CH jersey and was one of the guests at the Canadiens Hockey School. This school aims to develop players from the Novice to Bantam categories. The camp enables youngsters to develop and improve certain aspects of their game.

For the occasion, Slaf even took a photo with a certain David Desharnais (27 at the time), who was barely taller than the Slovak.

Now, nine years later, Slaf is back at the school, this time as a coach.

People in the comments had fun guessing the next member of the Canadiens.

And they also remarked on the size difference between Desharnais and Slaf.

For Slafkovsky, he quickly became a crowd favorite. He’s involved in the community and it’s great to see that at such a young age.

In his homeland, as has been said many times over the past few days, he’s a real hero. He is the face of a Slovak mineral water company and is often seen in Montreal at various events with teammates.

Once again, it’s great to see him get involved in the community like this, and I’m sure the kids will remember this camp for a long time to come. Slaf was a very good choice of coach by the people in charge of the Development School.
