The Milwaukee Brewers pulled off the unthinkable: they swept the Los Angeles Dodgers to advance to the World Series.
A year after suffering the same fate, this achievement is remarkable.
Jake Bauers (the Championship Series MVP) and his teammates will have a week (their next game is next Friday) to savor the moment.
But they shouldn't get too big for their boots. They still have a long way to go, and they'll need to prepare properly for what's next.

To stay in that mindset, the guys can simply rely on their manager, Pat Murphy. He knows the team mustn't lose its identity and will need to be ready.
The proof? He said his guys beat future Hall of Famers because they're gamers.

The manager is right. We all know that, on paper, the Dodgers are one of the best teams in history. They didn't get this far out of the goodness of their hearts.
They didn't become the 2024 and 2025 champions by accident, either.
But against the Brewers, they looked bad. The Wisconsin team treated their fans to some great baseball to come away with the win.
They managed to sweep the team that had swept them last year (a first in history), even though Milwaukee had looked very, very bad in the 2025 playoffs against Los Angeles.
That doesn't mean it's over for L.A. The team is very talented and could very well win next year—and the year after that.
But seeing the Brewers win this series is refreshing.

- The Brewers played Shohei Ohtani's walk-up song in the locker room during the postgame celebrations.
The Brewers are playing Shohei Ohtani's walk-up song, “Feeling Good” by Michael Bublé, in their winning clubhouse. They absolutely went wild and popped more bottles when the song started blasting.
