After selecting Brayden Klimpke with the 117th pick, the Habs had to wait until the 189th pick to make their next selection of the day.
It should be noted, however, that in addition to the 189th pick, the club also held the 190th selection.
Let's start with the 189th pick in the draft, which was used to select Parker Trottier. He's a winger… and the grandson of a certain Bryan Trottier.

Trottier is a six-foot-one forward who weighs 184 pounds. He's a guy with grit… and some offensive flair to boot.
He played for the U.S. development program last year, recording eight goals and 14 points in 24 games.
Then, one round later, the Canadiens selected Wesley Royston, another winger who is a big, physical player.
He says he looks up to none other than Tom Wilson, hehe.

Overtime
A few QMJHL players have been selected over the past hour. Here are a few of them:
Florent Houle was selected 147th overall by the Mammoth. He had an excellent playoff run with the Phoenix.

The Huskies' feisty forward Lars Steiner was selected by the Blues with the 171st overall pick.

Defenseman Benjamin Cossette-Ayotte was finally selected 179th overall by the Nashville Predators.
Just like with Tommy Bleyl last night, there's a bit of JP Glaude in this pick.
