Late in Sunday's game, Martin St-Louis shuffled the deck.

Cole Caufield, who didn't have a strong series against the Lightning, lost his spot on the first line. Ivan Demidov took advantage of the opportunity for one period.

Caufield, meanwhile, went to play with Phillip Danault and Josh Anderson.

But this morning, at the team's practice in Florida, Cole Caufield was wearing the same jersey color (red) as Juraj Slafkovsky and Nick Suzuki.

Ivan Demidov, meanwhile, was wearing white. This fashion column is made possible by Anthony Martineau's tweet.

Obviously, the Russian didn't choose to wear white so that the person in charge of washing the equipment would have to work overtime: he wore it to identify the trios.

Not wearing the same color as Suzuki is a clue.

And that makes sense, since I expected the coach to return to his usual lineup—the one that has brought him success this season—sooner rather than later.

It's worth noting that, looking at the line combinations, we don't expect the Canadiens to make any changes tomorrow night in Buffalo. Oliver Kapanen, Joe Veleno, Patrik Laine, and Arber Xhekaj may still be sidelined.

Remember that after today's practice, the Habs will head to Buffalo. Game #1 of the second-round series will take place tomorrow night at 7 p.m.

Subsequently, all games will be played every other day.

In a nutshell

– Indeed.

– Obviously.

– Will he return to Tampa Bay?

– A beautiful outpouring of love for Renaud Lavoie this morning.

– Good question.
