Jayden Struble Suspended for Jumping on the Ice and Fighting After the Game
Yesterday, in the game between the Manitoba Moose and the Laval Rocket, there was a bit of a skirmish. After the regular 60 minutes, in a game that the Rocket won with a score of 6-2, tempers flared.
Brady Keeper and Nikita Chibrikov are at the heart of the story.
Jayden Struble, who was then on his team’s bench, jumped into the fray to play the role of a policeman. He threw punches and defended his teammates, which is noble from a team’s point of view…
But a guy can’t jump into the brawl to fight when he was on the bench.

That’s why he’s been suspended for the next three games of the Laval Rocket. So he won’t be able to play today (10:30 AM, Winnipeg time) nor on Wednesday and Friday.
Jeff Malot (Moose) gets a one-game suspension as well.

The sanction seems severe at first glance, except that the brawl occurred after the end-of-game buzzer, and Struble was coming off the bench. The League has no choice but to be strict under such circumstances.— Anthony Marcotte (@anthonymarcotte) November 13, 2023

So this week, one of the Rocket’s good defenders won’t be available. Without him and without Gustav Lindstrom, who was called up by the CH, two key defenders will not play this morning.
Lucky for the Laval Rocket to have depth on the blue line…
This means that Mattias Norlinder has a chance to return to the lineup, who was one of the two defenders who did not participate in yesterday’s game, in Manitoba.
It should also be noted that today’s goalie will be Strauss Mann.

Unsurprisingly, it’s Strauss Mann who will start for the Rocket this morning (11:30) against the Manitoba Moose. Struck with cramps yesterday, Jakub Dobes had not been able to complete the game. He will be Mann’s backup today, so no worries.— Anthony Marcotte (@anthonymarcotte) November 13, 2023
