Cole Caufield hangs out with Pierre-Luc Dubois

Cole Caufield and Pierre-Luc Dubois went boating together on Sunday. That’s right, the Canadiens’ star player and the player surrounded by trade rumours sending him to Montreal are hanging out together.

They seem to have taken a boat ride during the Canadian Grand Prix. They are accompanied by Caufield’s friends Trevor Zegras and Jack Hughes, who accompanied him all weekend at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve.

Here’s a photo of their escapade posted on Cole Caufield’s Instagram account.

Mitch Marner also appears in the photo. The Maple Leafs forward was at the Grand Prix on Sunday.

Looking at the photo, you can quickly jump to conclusions, but it doesn’t mean anything. If it really meant anything, I would have been much more excited to see that Caufield is trying to bring Jack Hughes and Trevor Zegras to Montreal.

It’s a bunch of guys having fun on a boat.

That’s not going to speed up negotiations between the CH and the Jets for a transaction involving Dubois. It’ll be the talk of the town. Pierre-Luc Dubois is spending his summer in Quebec, so you can be sure that there will be more rumours when he takes part in events.

For now, we can only wait and see if Kent Hughes is willing to pay top dollar for the Quebec forward.
