Let's agree on one thing: Jakub Dobes is having a great first-round series.
Right now, if we were to rank the goalies in the series between the Habs and the Lightning, Andrei Vasilevskiy isn't at the top.
And that's despite the fact that he's a Vezina Trophy nominee this season and the Hall of Fame awaits him upon retirement.

Does this mean Dobes will be the Canadiens' goalie of the future? Possibly. In any case, he's making a strong case for himself right now…
I still think the Canadiens, who like Jakub Dobes and Jacob Fowler, will also want to give Fowler the opportunity to try his hand as the team's goalie of the future.
And when it comes down to it, may the best man win.
But Michel Bergeron believes the Canadiens could trade Fowler this summer (to acquire a quality center) due to Dobes's performances. He discussed this this morning on BPM Sports with the morning crew.
Fowler, who is smaller and less experienced than Dobes, is technically superior. This means his performance fluctuations are less dramatic than those of Dobes, who is more emotional.
And Dobes has still given the Canadiens a run for their money this season.

But since both guys are still young and Samuel Montembeault is clearly on his way out, I don't see the Habs trading either of these young players right now.
The club, which still has time to take its time, will surely wait to see if the ideal situation for the future presents itself.
That said, Bergy is right: they'll need to go out and get a big center this summer. Jake Evans is nice enough, but he's not exactly a top-6 caliber center.
This will be a major issue this summer.

– Worth noting.
Hennadii Synchuk, who was returning from injury, got injured again yesterday at the Nutrilait Centre.
It's unclear whether it happened during the midday practice or during the afternoon game against AS Blainville.
