Avalanche unveils first images of Nordiques uniform

This summer, we learned that the Avalanche would be unveiling a new uniform for the 2025-26 season. The club would retain its usual uniforms, but would add an alternative uniform to its wardrobe.And we were talking about a retro Nordiques uniform.in the past, the club has worn a uniform similar to that of theNordiques, but in the colors of the Avalanche. That was as part of the Reverse Retro series, but this time the club wanted a Nordiques uniform… in Nordiques colors. And today we finally got our first look at the uniform in question. We can't see it in its entirety, but we can see some of the elements that make it up.And we can very clearly see the Nordiques logo, as well as the team's famous blue.

We still don't know when it'll happen, but we expect to see the uniform used in real games this season. No, they won't just be used for practice, obviously,and inevitably, then, we have to wonder whether the club will want to use them when they face the Canadiens. We know that the Habs will be in Colorado on November 29, while the Avalanche will be in Montreal on January 29, so it‘ssafe to assume that they'll be worn at home (that's often the case with special uniforms of this kind), so I have a feeling we'll have to keep an eye on the November 29 date.I'm also anxious to see how the uniforms will be received by the public. When you read the comments under the Avalanche's post, you get the feeling that a lot of people are a little uneasy about the whole thing.Especially since this year, the Avalanche are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their team… and therefore of the Nordiques' move…
