“Eat shit, anti-Semitic loser from the 51st state”: a Panthers owner blurts it out on Twitter

Social networking can be dangerous. Talk to- ah and leave it at that.

In the past, we’ve seen Doug Cifu, the senior partner of Vincent J. Viola, the owner of the Florida Panthers, act up on Twitter. And yesterday, he did it again on the heels of his team’s win over the Maple Leafs.

How did he do it? By telling a Maple Leafs fan on Twitter that he’s a loser, an anti-Semite, telling him to eat crap and talking about Donald Trump’s 51st state. Notably.

You can’t see it on the Cifu Twitter account directly since it’s crossed out to the public.

As you can see, the fan in question searched for it en masse and clearly wanted to stir things up. But the Panthers’ shareholder didn’t have to take the bait…

Already, more and more Canadians are taking to the Maple Leafs for not supporting an American team, Doug Cifu’s comments will do nothing to endear the Panthers north of the border.

A businessman like Cifu should be above Twitter insults.

Note that this isn’t the first time Cifu has been caught talking nonsense on social networks. Recently, he “personalized” a debate by saying that an “opponent” in a trade on X had special needs at his school.

A class act.

He also criticized Doug Maclean (a former NHL executive) on his NHL career and is said to be at the heart of a story about a $400 million pension fund that was stolen, as reported on LinkedIn.

Quite a character.
