Ménage à trois: Martin St-Louis talks like a guy who’s tired of the situation
When speaking to journalists, Martin St-Louis is almost always very calm.

He’s got the right attitude even if some questions simply shouldn’t be asked, but sometimes he gets a little impatient. He’s human, after all.

This was the case last year in a situation involving Evgenii Dadonov. The coach lost his cool after being asked if Dadonov was healthy to play a particular game, when the player had been left out.

Anyways.

It rarely happens, and it kind of did this morning. This time, the subject of the three-goal household was thrown into the discussion, and St-Louis was quick to let reporters know that he didn’t want to talk about it.

It’s a business deal, boys. Primeau plays. – Martin St-Louis

It’s clear.

Clearly, the Canadiens’ head coach seems to be irritated by the whole three-goalie situation.

And what’s happening right now is that it’s causing more of a distraction than anything else. There’s a lot of talk about it in the media, and the guys are certainly talking about it in the bedroom too.

It’s hard to believe that Samuel Montembeault and Jake Allen are super happy with what’s happening right now. They want to play as much as possible, and now they have to bail out because the Habs are afraid of losing Primeau to the lottery.

Managing the file isn’t easy for Martin St-Louis, because he’s forced to make decisions that won’t please everyone. And things are starting to get really tough for the head coach, who has to deal with a situation that’s currently to no one’s advantage.

Cayden Primeau isn’t a winner (because he’s not playing), and that’s even less the case for Monty or Allen. All this is creating right now is frustration and uncertainty for everyone…

We say it, we repeat it and we have to keep saying it. It’s got to stop for everyone’s sake, the three-keeper household.
