Training: Jordan Harris present, Jake Evans absent

Yesterday, of the 23 active players on the Canadiens’ roster, only 18 took part in training.

Why? Because Jake Evans, Christian Dvorak, Brendan Gallagher, Mike Matheson and Cayden Primeau were absent, as they were enjoying a day of treatment.

Today, of course, it was interesting to see how many of them would be able to train with the others.

In the end, according to what the Canadiens announced, only Jake Evans was still out. The center was still out for treatment. We don’t know what, of course.

Will he be able to play tomorrow? If he can’t, we can assume that Sean Monahan will play center and that Emil Heineman will take his place in the lineup… but we’ll see in due time.

It’s worth noting that there were 23 players at training, as Jordan Harris, who is currently on the injured list, skated with his team.

Over the past few days, Harris has been skating solo. The man expected to return to action around Christmas is, from what we understand, on the right track.

And when you look at the state of the injured list, he’s the only player you can say that about.

Obviously, when he returns, it’s going to create even more congestion on the Habs’ blue line… but we’ll see about that in due course. The first step is to get him healthy.

Details to come…
