David Savard to return to action tonight

It’s official: Quebecer David Savard will return to action tonight.

The Canadiens confirmed this afternoon.

Forward Michael Pezzetta will take Tanner Pearson’s spot in the lineup. Goaltender Jake Allen gets the start. Defenseman David Savard will return to the lineup tonight, and a decision will be made after warmups regarding which defenseman will sit. #GoHabsGo

Mattias Norlinder has been traded to the Laval Rocket to make room in the lineup.
