“Keep your English” – Marc-Antoine Dequoy, after the Alouettes’ victory
For the first time since 2010, our Alouettes are Grey Cup champions.

They disposed of the favoured Blue Bombers by a score of 28-24.

Big game from the whole group overall, and the underdogs finally came out on top.

In the euphoria of the post-game celebrations, Quebecer and Eastern Final hero Marc-Antoine Dequoy gave a memorable speech.

It’s a speech that will live forever in Quebec’s collective memory, ranking as one of the most memorable in history.

Listen to his words for yourself.

“Keep it your English,” he passionately proclaimed. “They (Anglophones) never believed in us”.

Even the leader of the Parti Québécois congratulated Duquoy on these emblematic statements.

He was a little quieter during an interview in the language of Shakespeare.

Quebec pride, vibrant throughout the week, was the subject of much discussion, whether it was the all-English national anthems in Toronto, the half-French phrases in Hamilton, or the passing of the late Cowboys fringants singer Karl Tremblay.

Tonight’s Alouettes game was not simply a sporting event, it was a tribute to the people of Quebec, who in recent days had been subjected to “insults” by English speakers. Duquoy reminded everyone that Quebecers deserve to be taken seriously.

On this November 19, 2023, all of Quebec has won the Grey Cup.

Well done to the players, who will have earned their $16,000 bonus.

Let’s hope Arash Madani swallows his words from earlier today, because today’s victory speaks for itself.
