Exciting news! @Hellmanns & the Bleu, Blanc, Rouge have joined forces to introduce an exclusive video series called “Cooking with Legends” / Légendes dans la Cuisine – & I will be your host.

It’s no secret that the Habs sell in Quebec. There’s a reason why various companies often partner with Tricolore players and executives to sell their products: they’re well-known and popular faces in town.
Just this week, for example, Martin St-Louis starred in a new advertising campaign for Hydro-Québec.
Inevitably, then, we often see companies use members of the organization to associate themselves with their brand image… and obviously, a new company has just been added to the list.
In fact, Hellmann’s recently announced a series of videos featuring “CH legends“.
The videos are hosted by Tony Marinaro, host of The Sick Podcast, and feature the guys chatting about a variety of hockey-related topics while making a recipe (with Hellmann’s mayonnaise, you guessed it).
The three episodes feature Nick Suzuki, Guy Carbonneau and Michel Lacroix respectively. The first two are already available on Hellmann’s YouTube channel, while the one featuring Michel Lacroix should be available next Thursday.
As for Carbonneau and Lacroix, the term “legends” is quite appropriate, but I can’t help thinking that it’s a (good) bit too early to call Suzuki a legend. He’s got the potential to be one, and I can understand why people use the term to sell him, but we all agree that he hasn’t exactly forged his legend yet.
Marinaro is an excellent choice for animation, given that he’s bilingual and in his element with such a role, and the result is quite sympathetic.
In short, once again, well-known faces from the Montreal organization are associated with a company. This time, however, we’re opting for online vignettes rather than TV ads.

– Adam Johnson was honored today before his team’s game. His number was retired and a very touching ceremony was held in his memory.

A ton of great questions came for this week’s mailbag, so let’s unpack it – starting with three on the same theme that I’m grouping together for a big-picture response.@EricEngels has the story. https://t.co/NKP3zQh3RB

– Speaking of Reinbacher, a few notes on his game today.
Some notes on Reinbacher this afternoon vs. Langnau
– Started slow. Very tentative, as has been the case since he came back from injury. Timing is still off.
– Breakouts were good.
– His rush defence was a mixed bag.
– Play picked up significantly in the third.
