Series in brief: Kraken forces game number 7
Last night, Game 6 of the Seattle Kraken-Dallas Stars series took place, as the Stars had the opportunity to qualify for the Western Conference Finals by sending the Kraken on vacation.

However, Seattle had not said its last word.

Here’s what we remember about the game.

1. Seattle forces game 7 in Dallas

Once again, the Kraken showed their resilience and intensity by winning a crucial match from the brink of elimination.

Dave Hakstol’s entire team contributed last night to a 6-3 collective victory over the Stars.

The Kraken never trailed in the game, always keeping themselves safe from a potential heartbreaking elimination.

The Kraken came out like a lion in the first period, outshooting the Stars 16-5.

Seattle went into the locker room with a 2-1 lead.

For real, I’m impressed by the atmosphere in Seattle. These are truly passionate fans.

The Kraken’s dominance didn’t stop there, as in the second period, Dave Hakstol’s troupe added two goals to their lead to bring the score to 4-1.

Tolvanen was the first to add to his tally with his third goal of the series. He has eight points (three goals and five assists) in 13 games since the start of the playoffs.

And to think that more than half the league decided not to draft the 24-year-old Finnish forward…

These teams, including the Montreal Canadiens, will be biting their fingers for a long time to come.

Rookie Ty Kartye made it 4-1 in favor of the Kraken with his third of the playoffs.

The 22-year-old forward, never drafted, is enjoying a truly excellent series with five points (three goals and two assists) in nine games.

In short, the three-goal lead was enough for the Kraken, who won 6-3 to force a Game 7.

I really like this Seattle team, which doesn’t boast any superstars, but is a collection of excellent field hockey players who give 130% every time they play.

Makes a change from a certain Auston Matthews.

Dallas clearly has a better team, but the Kraken’s collective grit and intensity could well overcome the Stars in Game 7.

It’s sure to be an interesting game to watch.

The series is tied 3-3. Game 7 takes place in Dallas tomorrow at 8 p.m.
