Phil Kessel fills the Stanley Cup with hot dogs again

Phil Kessel isn’t exactly known for being the best eater on the planet. The polarizing player has the diet of a guy who doesn’t play in the NHL.

But since he’s had a great career, holds the record for most consecutive games played in league history and has three Stanley Cup rings, who are we to judge him?

Anyway. All this to say that the Vegas Golden Knights player has just won his third Stanley Cup, and the question that often comes up is whether he was going to put hot dogs in the Cup.

For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, it’s in reference to this, the Penguins era.

So we couldn’t wait to see if Jack Eichel would once again be tempted to put delicious hot dogs in the Stanley Cup, to make it the most restigious receptacle for roteux ever.

And Jack Eichel, like a modern-day hero, confirmed that yes, the former Maple Leaf has indeed used Lord Stanley’s trophy to rest his meal of choice.

All’s well that ends well.

We shouldn’t be surprised since it’s probably the coolest thing to do in the Cup. And I say that with all due respect to those who put caviar, champagne or their baby in the Cup bowl.

He does well to take advantage of the fact that it’s impossible to do so in other sports (due to the shape of the trophy) to feed social networks – and to feed himself.

Never change, Phil.

– What do you think?

– Interesting.

– Good question.
