Pierre-Luc Dubois attends CF Montreal game tonight

Last week, Pierre-Luc Dubois was spotted with Cole Caufield at the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Canada. He’s back at a Montreal event, this time with another Tricolore player.

That player is none other than David Savard.

The rumors will never stop. Maybe Dubois will make the rounds of the Habs players to keep the rumors going. He’s off to a great start!

But Dubois has a good reason for spending time with Savard. In his NHL debut with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Dubois was hosted by Savard, who was then a veteran of the team. Living together can forge very close bonds.

If Dubois comes to Montreal, however, he shouldn’t need to live with Savard, as he already seems to have a home in the area.

Dubois, a native of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, is probably well settled in Quebec. All that remains to be seen is whether Kent Hughes is prepared to give him a big contract and offer sufficient compensation to the Winnipeg Jets in a trade.

Montreal CF take on Nashville SC, ranked second in the MLS Eastern Association, on Wednesday.

Again, we understand that this doesn’t mean anything and that NHL players have every right in the world to spend time together even if they’re not on the same team, but it’s getting to be a very funny story.

One thing’s for sure: Dubois is having an exciting summer in Montreal, and he certainly can’t miss Winnipeg.
