Alex Newhook: four years at less than $3 million a year, says Elliotte Friedman

According to Elliotte Friedman, the Montreal Canadiens and Alex Newhook’s clan are close to agreeing on the terms of a four-season contract.

The source talks of $2.9 million per year.

Sounds a lot like what happened with Kirby Dach last year, who signed a four-year contract at $3.362M per year after being acquired under similar terms.
