This afternoon, the Canadiens have a practice session scheduled in New Jersey.
We've learned that Phillip Danault and Kaiden Guhle didn't take to the ice with the rest of the team. They were given a day of treatment.
The team announced this on social media.
Forward Phillip Danault and defenseman Kaiden Guhle will not participate in today's practice (therapy day).

Yesterday, late in the game, Danault struggled on the ice. He was clearly in discomfort, due to an excess of pizza crustsand finishing the game didn't look easy.
His absence today surely stems from that.
As for Guhle, we know that at this point in the season, all players are dealing with minor injuries. It's no surprise that a guy prone to injuries is part of the mix.
This isn't his first time dealing with this.
We'll see if both guys will be able to play tomorrow in New Jersey. But until proven otherwise, we have to assume they should be able to face the Devils.
Otherwise? On offense, the team doesn't really have any depth—aside from Patrik Laine, who isn't an option—on the road. It's unclear whether Kirby Dach and/or Alexandre Texier will be able to return to action in the very near future, as they practiced yesterday in Quebec.

Arber Xhekaj, one of the team's seven healthy defensemen, is also an option as a 12th forward if needed.
Defensively, Adam Engstrom has been the extra player since his recall. But whether there's an injury or not, it's unclear if we'll see him in action tomorrow night.
