Last night in the NHL, five games were on the schedule.

Here are the results and highlights:

1. Max Domi settles the score with Radko Gudas

The Toronto Maple Leafs were visiting Anaheim, and not only was this the team's first game since their GM was fired earlier that evening, but it was also their first game against the Ducks since Auston Matthews' infamous injury.

From the very first second, Max Domi settled the score with Radko Gudas.

Domi didn't stop there.

He went at it a second time.

Gudas was targeted throughout the game.

Jake McCabe made short work of the Czech player.

It was a pretty wild game.

Michael Pezzetta wanted to join the fray, but he was ejected for shoving an official. Way to go, champ.

Leo Carlsson and Cutter Gauthier scored for the Ducks.

Both, however, went down in the line of duty. Carlsson returned to the game, but Gauthier did not.

Late in the third period, the Swede scored to send everyone into overtime.

But in overtime, with just five seconds left, John Tavares sealed the game's outcome.

It was sweet revenge for Toronto.

2. The Penguins explode in the second period

The first game of the night pitted the Penguins against the Islanders.

It was a very important matchup for both teams, who are direct rivals in the East.

The Penguins exploded in the second period and ultimately won 8-3. Only one Pens forward failed to score a point.

The action really picked up in the second period.

Eight of the game's 11 goals were scored in that period.

Sidney Crosby made his return to the ice. He recorded his 1,100th career assist.

With his two assists, the captain now ranks third in career games with two or more points.

3. A 100th point for Macklin Celebrini

The Sharks hosted the Blues late last night, and the home team won 5-4.

With 22 seconds left in the game, Adam Gaudette sealed the win for his team.

The real hero of the game, however, is Macklin Celebrini.

He scored two goals and had one assist. He has now reached the 100-point mark this season.

Few players aged 19 or younger have managed to score 100 or more points in a single NHL season.

Celebrini joins Wayne Gretzky, Dale Hawerchuk, Mario Lemieux, Jimmy Carson, and Sidney Crosby.

4. Nine goals for the Avalanche

The Avalanche didn't give the Flames a chance last night.

They started the game strong and by the end of the first period, they were already leading 5-0.

Colorado ultimately scored nine goals en route to a 9-2 victory.

In the win, however, the team lost the services of Cale Makar.

Nathan MacKinnon, meanwhile, scored a goal.

He is just one goal away from 50.

Despite the rout, Scott Wedgewood held the fort for the home team.

What a save, right here.

5. A first win for John Tortorella

The Canucks were visiting Vegas.

It was Evander Kane's 1,000th NHL game.

In fact, he was the one who opened the scoring.

However, it was the Knights who had the last word.

A 4-2 victory. John Tortorella's first win with Vegas, then.

It looks like the game might be more balanced offensively.

No player scored more than one point for Vegas. Still.
