Well! With just a few days to go before the NHL trade deadline, there are a few questions on everyone's mind.
Will the Canadiens be active? Will Patrik Laine (who won't be playing until next Friday) be traded? What will this year's deadline look like in general?
According to Pierre McGuire, we could see a lot of action. The main person involved (The Sick Podcast – The Eye Test) mentioned that we can expect some big trades… and for fans, that's always exciting to hear.
What kind of NHL trade deadline can we expect to see this year?

Things could be changing for the Canadiens.
Obviously, we'll be keeping an eye on the situation with #92, but we also know that Kent Hughes has a clear goal: to improve his top six.
That's why Eric Engels said (Sick Podcast) that there's no doubt the Habs are still in the mix of teams looking to acquire a quality forward.
The Canadiens could be aggressive on the market… because the plan to add a top-6 player is not new. After all, we've been talking about it for a while now.
Are the #GoHabsGo still in the market for a top 6 forward?@EricEngels: “I don't think there's any question about that!” #thesickpodcast @TonyMarinaro pic.twitter.com/h9zOhzR8DQ

What may help Kent Hughes is the fact that he is armed to the teeth to make a big move in the market.
The Canadiens have a lot of prospects. And the same can be said when you consider the team's draft picks: the Canadiens still have all their selections in the first four rounds until 2029.
That's no small thing.

It's a little difficult to predict what will happen because the Canadiens' GM likes to keep his cards close to his chest.
Kent Hughes does his job without making too much noise… even though we know he's busy on the phone trying to complete a deal to improve his team right now.
And we also know that he's not afraid to make a big move. We've seen him do it in the past… and it could happen again this year if the situation allows.
In a nutshell
– I can't wait to see it.
Some spectators might send him a little message on Thursday.
